Presenting the Common Union Soldier of 1861 - 1865

Company E, 12th Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry is a cooperative effort of Civil War enthusiasts with the goal and purpose of education by portraying the common Union Soldier of the time 1861-1865.  This is accomplished through the efforts of its members by research and application of knowledge gained for presenting a living portrait of the rank and file of the Union Army in the Civil War.

We are dedicated to the preservation of the history and memories of the real men who, so unselfishly, gave their all in the Civil War. Our emphasis is four-fold:

  • Authenticity
  • Accessibility
  • Safety
  • Fun
